Black Friday as an Action Movie?

So I attended my first midnight Black Friday shopping spree (more like stampede) and realized something. How about an action film set within the confines of a store on Black Friday? Think of the possibilities.

Our hero is in line with his son for Christmas shopping. Little does he know that terrorists have infiltrated the line and seek some vengeance on our hero for past issues. The store opens its doors and the flood of people commence. His son gets kidnapped in the middle of the scuffle and now it is up to our hero to find his son and stop the terrorists. We get our hero running around the store and then being constantly attacked by terrorists all the through without knowing who’s who. Think of it as The Raid in a store.

Or how about two dads who were former Navy Seals battling to get their boys the hottest toy gun ever. They battle it out throughout Toys R’ Us using Nerf Guns, bikes, toy police cars, etc. It would be amazing.

Better yet, how about a Die Hard sequel during Black Friday at Wal-Mart? People get wild at Wal-Mart so who’s better to contain it than John McClane? Seems plausible I’m sure.

Buddy comedy about stopping a madman who placed bombs inside toy Elmos and they must give chase during Black Friday? Sure.

A thriller about an escaped psychopath chasing after a former cop and his wife in the parking lot on Black Friday. The thought of it just tenses me up. Let’s have a scene where the couple is at a intersection and they are never given the opportunity to leave and the killer is right at their tail. Get Mel Gibson stat.

Disaster movie on Black Friday? Make the disaster kids because they are highly destructive.

So many possibilities for tense action. It’s incredible. Black Friday is the one night of the year where action….becomes alive.

My name is Omar and I love action movies. I grew up loving action films thanks in part to my father who would deliver a healthy dose of Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, and Seagal in my movie diet. Ever since then, I continue to love the genre more and more and go along perfectly with my love for the horror genre. What other movie genre can specialize in giving you pure adrenaline and excitement in every turn?
