More Animated Action Movies

I know animation is a big no no around these parts because they are all aimed at kids, but really think about for a second. Think about a Die Hard or Rambo style movie in animated form (CG or 2D)? The endless capabilities of animation to supply numerous action sequences amongst many other things. It’s a well that has vast potential of delivering some top quality action. Even direct to video titles like Resident Evil: Damnation have taken the reigns along with other video game inspired movies like Halo and Final Fantasy.

The prospect of a straightforward animated action can really bring some money if given the push. Get big actors to do the voices, get great animators, a good director, a solid, script, and add some imagination to create a really engaging action movie via animation that can not only be refreshing, but visually stimulating as well. Sure, the marketing will always be an issue especially concerning younger demographics, but it is an area that should be explored.

Hell, even some Disney films like Atlantis and others like Titan A.E. deliver some solid action adventure entertainment which is a lost art form as of late.

What do you think?

Omar
My name is Omar and I love action movies. I grew up loving action films thanks in part to my father who would deliver a healthy dose of Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, and Seagal in my movie diet. Ever since then, I continue to love the genre more and more and go along perfectly with my love for the horror genre. What other movie genre can specialize in giving you pure adrenaline and excitement in every turn?
