Expendables 3 to Film This Summer!

Aintitcool recently got to interview Jason Statham about his new film Parker, but he also dropped a few tidbits that Expendables 3 will be filming this summer. So it looks like the film will indeed be on course for the August 2014 release.

The Kidd said: “There’s rumors all over the place… Jackie Chan’s name has been brought up, Nicolas Cage has been brought up, John Woo’s name has been brought up to possibly direct it. And I know Stallone has been trying to figure out the pieces and the producers are trying to figure out what is going on with it next. Have they given you any type of indication about when they’re looking to do EXPENDABLES 3, or what type or story, or who’s going to be a part of it? Because you have a ton of projects that are all lined up, and I’m just curious about where it would slot in.”

The Stath said: “That’ll be done over this summer… Somewhere, no one knows, this summer, is EXPENDABLES 3. The names that are bandied around are the ones that you just mentioned right then. Sly’s got such a way about him, and people want to work with him. You can’t say no to this guy because he’s so respected and so loved. For me he’s one of the great filmmakers. He’s a writer, director, actor…

So, it looks like we can begin the countdown and continue discussions about who should be in Part 3.
