Green Goblin in Spider-Man 2?

Word round the campfire is that the Green Goblin may also be joining The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, but not the way you might think. According to Movie Pilot, Dane DeHaan who was recently cast as Harry Osbourne will be playing the Green Meanie himself; so not his father Norman like the comics or previous films.

It is just a rumour at this point but what do you guys think? I thought Electro was going to be the main villain. I’d rather they just stick to him in this movie as more than one villain can quickly become overkill. Maybe they are just setting him up for the role as the Green Goblin in the inevitable 3rd movie.

Either way, the Spidey sequel will hit theatres on May 2, 2014.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
