John Woo for Expendables 3?

john-woo

We briefly mentioned this on our Facebook page yesterday, but here’s the full story. Expendables Premiere is reporting that John Woo would be interested in directing The Expendables 3.

Woo has stated: “I am a big fan of all those guys and I will do it but I want less studio and producer interference. I want to shoot the movie the way I want”. “That’s the difference making a movie in China and Hollywood. In China, The Studio and producer allow flexibility to the director. One thing for sure is, I want it to take place in China. I also have a vision of this big fight between Jet Li and Van Damme but then they have killed him off.

Bring back Van Damme as a twin or make Chow Yun Fat the villain I say. For God’s sake let the man make the film he wants. Hey John, go ahead and use the story I came up with, just give me a credit ;)

Thanks to “Swinger” for bringing this to my attention.

Sylvester Stallone recently said that the “action genre was slowly fading away”. We do NOT want that to happen and more importantly we won’t ALLOW it. When I came up with the idea for this site in 2011, I wanted to create something that would introduce the audiences of today to classic action movies, but to also recommend new actioners in the future. I hope you enjoy what we’re trying to achieve on the site and stick around.
