John Woo Remaking Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Samurai

Yes John Woo is directing a movie again, which is a reason to celebrate; the movie will be filmed in Berlin for financial reasons. It is also being shot in English and financed by Hollywood; let`s hope the studios can leave him alone this time to make the film he wants.

The story, according to IMDB is that “things suddenly go badly for a successful French assassin”.

You had me at assassin; here’s hoping we can expect 2 guns, doves, slow motion and balletic violence galore.
