Mano-A-Mano: Yuri Boyka vs. George ‘Iceman’ Chambers: Undisputed 2

The Undisputed sequels (2 & 3) are two of the best martial arts movies of recent times; the characters are well developed and Boyka especially has become a true icon of action.

I’m kinda cheating for this one because it’s actually two fights; the first has the two men fighting in the prison championship where Boyka, played by Scott Adkins claims to be the most complete fighter in the world.

Chambers has been sent to prison after being set up by a fight promoter; he now essentially HAS to fight Boyka or else he will remain in this hell hole forever. He reluctantly agrees to finally enter the ring with Boyka, but all is not as it seems. Chambers is close to beating Boyka until he takes a drink from a bottle of water that has been drugged. He loses focus and Boyka seizes the opportunity and beats Chambers unconscious and wins the fight.

What we don’t know is that Boyka is unaware that the water was drugged and when he finds out after Chambers confronts him, he is furious. He even kills one of his own men out of sheer rage. Despite everything, Boyka is a man of honour and cheating to him is the lowest of the low; he can’t be the most complete fighter in the world by cheating. Because of this a rematch is planned.

Chambers befriends a mysterious man in the bowels of the prison who properly trains him how to defeat his adversary.

So the final match is set and the two men have one of the greatest showdowns of all time. Chambers uses all of his training to destroy Boyka; he breaks his leg where he not only defeats his adversary but utterly humiliates him too.

Chambers wins the match and also his freedom. Boyka will spend the next few months cleaning toilets, but that’s a story for another day…

Check out the full fights below.
