Cars of “Fast and Furious Six”

According to a Universal spokesman, in “Fast and Furious Six,” Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) will finally play out the sexual tension between him and his car that has been simmering since the first film and the audience will be able to view the relationship move to the next level.

In all seriousness, the “Fast and Furious” franchise from Universal Pictures is back and better than ever with it’s sixth installment written by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin.


The Plot (No Spoilers)

Following “Fast Five” where Dom and Brian’s (Paul Walker) heist in Rio brought down a kingpin’s empire and scored them $100 million, “Fast Six” begins by showing how these two protagonists have moved all over the world to start new lives. During this time, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has been working to track down an organization of deadly mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose head boss (Luke Evans) is assisted by a ruthless ally who is revealed to be Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Dom’s lost love he thought was dead. states the only way to stop the mercenaries and their criminal plan is to beat them on the street. Hobbs recruits Dom to assemble an elite street-car team in London. If they agree, Dom and Brian will be granted full pardons, allowing them to return home to a normal life in the states. The Cars

According to the Internet Movie Cars Database, there are a slew of new cars in this film.

1. Daihatsu Terios

This rugged mini-compact off-road SUV makes a stellar appearance in a chase scene in “Fast and Furious Six.” In North America, Daihatsu’s are distributed by Toyota. Similar models of this foreign car may be tough to come by at your local Toyota Fort Worth dealer, but they’re a steal as you can find one for just under $7,000.

2. Ferrari F430

A 4.3 liter V-8 at roughly $200,000 makes this Italian roadsters one of the hottest cars in the film. Start saving up now—it’s worth money.

3. Land Rover Defender 110

This mid-engine sports car is one of kind. It was one of the first sports cars in the world designed to meet global safety and environmental regulations. The engine was recently replaced in the newer models to run on 91 octane fuel, to be readily available in the United States, and to comply with emission standards in California.

5. Renault Magnum

You can’t have a “Fast and Furious” movie without a big-ass semi-truck doing something illegal. Awarded the International Truck of the Year when it was first released in 1990, The Renault Magnum in semi and rigid configurations with 6-by-2 or 4-by-2 drivertrain.
