My Birthday Wishlist

Today I celebrate my last birthday as a “thirty-something”. I will waste no time being sentimental or nostalgic, but instead will move straight to the important sh#t… my party!

Who to invite to such an important occasion? Well, it goes without saying that the entire platoon shall be on hand! But, it wouldn’t be an action fan’s birthday party without some of the greatest names in all of action! I could take the easy way out and invite all of The Expendables. But, this wishlist required a little additional love for those… under-appreciated action stars. Here’s my top 5.

5. Letty (Fast & Furious franchise): Normally, Mia would be more my type. But, it’s letty’s attitude that pushes her over the top!

4. Nikita (Nikita television series): She scares me AND I like it.

3. Killjoy (Machete Kills): She ain’t a spy kid no mo.

2. Mallory Kane (Haywire): An action babe that is the real deal!

1. Cora (Tron Legacy): Been at the top of my list for a while now.

So, there you have it. My birthday party wishlist. Get those invitations out and I will see you guys tonight at my place!!!

Movies have been a big part of my life since the creation of the VCR. They have always been a way for me to escape. The action genre allowed that feeling more than any other, because the heroes in these films were living in an ordinary world, but were doing extraordinary things. Watching action movies encourages my imagination to explore while I am doing even the most mundane thing and make it exciting. Don't be afraid to use your imagination and keep action alive, no matter how old you get.
