Movies That Should Be on DVD/Blu Ray

I was messing around on Amazon recently looking to top up my movie collection when I noticed that there are a bunch of movies that don’t even have a DVD release, never mind a Blu Ray… at least in North America anyway.

One of these movies is the Daniel Bernhardt action classic True Vengeance which I would love to see get an HD upgrade. It’s only available on VHS!! It has some great action scenes and I need to own a decent quality version of this movie. So come on guys, please at least give us a DVD release of this movie!

Next up is a whole host of Billy Blanks movies from the 90s, including TC-2000, Tough & Deadly & Back in Action. Sure these are low budget straight to video flicks, but they have their fans, like us and I would love to have them on DVD.

Blu Ray would obviously be better but I doubt that will ever happen.  TC-2000 is available in the UK but to anyone in North America that’s as much use as a sore arse.

If they don’t get an upgrade does that mean these movies will be forgotten about and eventually disappear? That surely can’t happen and I’m sure it wouldn’t be THAT expensive to give them a DVD upgrade.

I also wouldn’t complain if the Bloodsport sequels got a Blu Ray upgrade as once again the series has its fans and it would be great to see these movies in decent quality. They are on DVD but are pretty rare and expensive.

Am I the only person who wants to own decent quality, official versions of these movies? Are there any forgotten gems that you want to see on DVD or Blu Ray?

On the plus side Hard Target and Sudden Death are finally getting a Blu Ray upgrade and will be released in the UK (Region Free) in August. I will be there opening day to purchase them!
