This Week’s DVD Releases

Only occasionally do I write about new movies coming to DVD, especially if they are awesome actioners and this is one of those special weeks. This week sees the release of The Last Stand starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Parker starring Jason Statham. Neither movie lit up the box office but they were both hugely entertaining. I personally preferred The Last Stand and found it lived up to all my expectations. Parker was a fun time but just wasn’t all that exciting and lacked any really memorable action or dialogue.

Check out the special features for both movies below.

  • Commentary with Director Taylor Hackford
  • Bringing the Hunter to Life: The Making of Parker (HD, 7 min)
  • Who is Parker? (HD, 3 min)
    • The Origin of Parker (HD, 4 min)
    • Broken Necks and Bloody Knuckles (HD, 4 min)

  • Not in My Town: Making ‘The Last Stand’ (HD, 28:11)
  • Cornfield Chaos: Scene Breakdown (HD, 11:21)
  • The Dinkum Firearm and Historic Weaponry Museum Tour (HD, 11:21)
  • Actor-Cam Anarchy: with Johnny Knoxville and Jaimie Alexander (HD, 10:32)
  • Deleted Scenes (HD, 8:15)
  • Extended Scenes (HD, 14:06)
