Friday Fight: Riddick vs. Dominic Toretto

This week’s Friday Fight is between Vin Diesel and Vin Diesel! Riddick from Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick and the upcoming Riddick vs. Dominic Toretto from the Fast & Furious series. Both characters are pretty bad ass and criminals but who would win in a clash of the titans? Let’s get ready to rumble!

Dominic Toretto

Vin Diesel has played this character in 5 movies and it’s funny how the character has changed… in some ways.

In the first movie he was actually pretty scary and was not someone you would want to mess with. When Brian O’Connor comes along and they become buddies, Toretto lets him into his world of fast cars and hot girls. Of course we find out that Brian is in fact an undercover FBI agent and things go pear shaped. Brian eventually quits being a cop and they begin a life as fugitives. I won’t go into the whole story of the 6 current movies though.

Toretto’s main character trait is his love of family and how you never turn your back on them. As admirable a trait as this is, it can also be seen as a weakness to be exploited. Yes he’s physically imposing but unlike Riddick, he has attachments to people which can easily be turned against him.

Riddick

Not much is known about this wanted criminal/serial killer except that he can see in the dark and has no problem taking lives… in fact he rather enjoys it. He actually does have some redeeming features and does help people, despite himself. He’s not someone you would want to corner because his instinct to survive is very strong and he also has a penchant for cool looking knives. He has no family to speak of and he can really use other people’s fear of the dark to his advantage.

Winner

Come on, the winner has to be Riddick, he’s ruthless as hell but all he needs to do is turn the light off and go to town on Toretto before he even sees him coming. Although Toretto could bring his “family” along as backup that just means more fun for Riddick who has killed plenty tougher people than them. All Hail Riddick till Underverse come… or something.
