Mano-A-Mano: Jason Statham vs. Daniel Bernhardt – Parker (2013)

This was easily the best scene in this otherwise pretty average Statham move; don’t get me wrong, the movie is a lot of fun but in terms of action this scene is fantastic. When I was speaking with Daniel a few weeks back he was saying how he did all of his own stunts in this movie.

When you see him fall off the balcony at the end, that is Daniel doing the stunt; he was connected using a wire and did the fall about 10 times. That explains why it all looks so authentic.

What I love about this scene is the sheer brutality on display; it isn’t flashy martial arts but two guys battling for survival and frankly beating the utter crap out of each other.

It’s one of the few scenes where Statham actually gets his ass kicked and makes it feel all the more realistic.
