Behind the Scenes with 87 Eleven Action Design

You may remember Daniel Bernhardt talking about working with 87 Eleven a few months back when I interviewed him. They are essentially THE stunt team for movies like Ninja Assassin, Parker, Salt, Watchmen, Rambo, The Wolverine, Tron: Legacy and many more, with over 15 years of stunt experience.

87 Eleven is owned & operated by David Leitch and Chad Stahleski.

Their Mission: Using our stunt industry experience of over 15 years, our goal is to provide a comprehensive approach to action design, utilizing our diverse knowledge and skills to create innovative, safe and one of a kind action sequences for productions.

They are all extremely skilled performers and really deserve a lot of praise. Hell, I still think we should have an Oscar for best stunt performer.

Check out this rather neat video about how the team works when working on a movie like Ninja Assassin.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone.
