I Want a Predators Sequel!

I know Predators didn’t exactly light up the box office but it did make $127,233,108 worldwide which isn’t bad considering its modest budget of $40 Million.

Adrian Brody proved he could be a complete bad ass with a cool gravelly voice while beating the crap out of our favourite alien hunters.

It had several wicked action scenes including a Predator sword fight and the alien dog things, which shouldn’t have worked but they did.

It really felt like a genuine follow up to the original Predator and maintained the atmosphere of tension and imposing doom. Sure the Laurence Fishburne segment hurt the pacing a bit but the rest of the movie rocked.

I loved the “RUN!” scene when the Predators first reveal themselves and our rag tag group of “heroes” try to outrun the hunters.

The supporting cast included Danny Trejo and Walton Goggins who had some of the best lines in the movie.

John Debney also gave us a great homage to Alan Silvestri’s classic score by giving it an electric guitar flavoured update.

For Predators 2, how about a role from Dutch (Arnie) from the first movie? It’s what we’ve all wanted to see and even if it wasn’t a huge role, I would still like to see it.

I also want to see how Brody gets off the alien planet or if he doesn’t, what happens to him and Alice Braga.

There are several different directions they could take the story and I hope that at some point we get a new entry in the series. The Predator is just to cool a character to not do anything else with.

Just don’t remake the original Predator!
