Is Television Better than Ever?

These could just be the ravings of a mad man but is it just me or are we in a golden age of television just now?

There are so many great TV shows which are fresh and exciting like Strike Back, Person of Interest, Under the Dome, Justified, Burn Notice, Supernatural, NCIS, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones to name but a few.

I’ve never seen so many action oriented programs out there that can cater to every taste. I find there aren’t enough hours in the day to watch half of the shows I’d like to get into. I have to admit I haven’t seen The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones but I may just blind buy the Blu Rays at some point due to what everyone has been saying about them.

I’ve been a huge fan of Burn Notice and Strike Back for a while now because they are pure old school action with a modern twist. They have plenty of one-liners and some explosive action scenes too.

A lot of actors have even said that they have taken on TV shows because the scripts and characters are just that bit more interesting than a lot of movie scripts these days.

So what do you kids think, is TV better than ever?
