The Trailer for the Robocop Reboot is Here

So with all the press, interviews, and set pictures, the trailer for the new Robocop has arrived. It features the similar structure of the original, but without the sharp social commentary that makes the original such a sci-fi classic. It tries to tackle the concept of free will and being a human more than social issues which I guess is a nice touch. I still like the cast, but it’s too early to tell how this will end up. However, it’s a shame that it isn’t as gripping or tough as the original. It doesn’t have much in gravitas or in simple terms balls, so to speak.

The remake stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Abbie Cornish.

Check it out below:

Synopsis: In “RoboCop,” the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

About the Author

Omar
My name is Omar and I love action movies. I grew up loving action films thanks in part to my father who would deliver a healthy dose of Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, and Seagal in my movie diet. Ever since then, I continue to love the genre more and more and go along perfectly with my love for the horror genre. What other movie genre can specialize in giving you pure adrenaline and excitement in every turn?
