Classic Action Scene: Ip Man Final Fight

I remember the first time I saw this movie, I was blown away by the fight scenes, but not just that; I actually cared about the characters and I really think this is Donnie Yen’s most iconic role. He makes Yip Man look totally tranquil, rarely losing his temper or showing fear. He is a man at peace with who he is, but when he’s pushed you really wouldn’t want to be on his bad side.

In this climactic fight scene Ip and Miura (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi) have their final battle in front of the public in Foshan’s square.

The two fighters at first seem equally matched, but Miura soon finds himself unable to penetrate Ip’s defense and becomes overwhelmed by the relentless blows.

It looks like Ip will effortlessly beat him. Although things do take a turn for the worse…
