‘Prime Contact’ Needs Your Support

We were contacted by Harry Woodman about a short film he is currently working on, which begins filming in February and is currently in pre-production. The story follows Sam, a man who has the ability to transfer his mind into other peoples’ bodies through skin contact.

About the Project: After being forced with an ability that causes his consciousness to transfer into other people via skin contact, Sam must infiltrate the mysterious company CogniTech to try to locate his original body.

Sam sneaks into an evening event hosted by CogniTech and has to use his ability to transfer into the various guests. Waiters, security guards, business men and a beautiful woman all find themselves as Sam’s disguises as he manipulates and obtains information about the location of his body. Sam finds himself sneaking into back passageways, entering restricted areas and getting into fights, all in pursuit of his goal.

The film is meant to be a full out action genre film: high octane, high paced and featuring an innovative fight sequence that we do not think has been seen before.

We have a great crew of seven on this project and over the past couple of years we have worked on numerous short film projects. We have come together to create this film as we all believe that it has the potential to be something special and something different to what have been seen before.

They’ve put together a Kickstarter campaign to build up support for the film and I’ve posted the link below. There are also Vlogs about the films production and a fantastic mock advertisement for CogniTech; it’s done like the satirical ads from Robocop and is very nicely done. The project seems incredibly innovative so please take a few moments to check out the videos and links below.

About CogniTech (NYSE: COGI): is the world leader in exo-cognisant technologies. Combining cognitive neuroscience with ground-breaking neuroengineering has allowed the company to craft advancements in clinical construction of brain-computer and brain-brain interfaces, beyond the capabilities of non-invasive transcranial magnetic techniques. In the field of consciousness study, the use of quantum mechanical control environments has allowed never-before-seen preservation and entanglement of individual minds. This heralds a unification of physics and biology to provide solutions to many long-standing problems across science, from logical incompleteness to philosophical identity. The CogniTech vision is to bring this to the population as a whole through skill, innovation and unrelenting progress.

Harry stated: “With Prime Contact we wanted to create a science fiction action thriller that fans loyal to the genre will enjoy. The success of the film will rely heavily on audiences getting behind the project and therefore we need your help to make the best film we possibly can.

We have a growing cast, a fantastic team and access to world-class equipment but we still need help to secure locations, props, and various other aspects of production design. Any support you can give, be that Kickstarter donations or simply liking and sharing the Facebook page would be much appreciated.”
