‘Assassin’s Creed’ May Have Found A Director

20th Century Fox is reportedly courting Daniel Espinosa to direct its Assassin’s Creed movie.

The Swedish Safe House filmmaker is wanted to direct Michael Fassbender in the Ubisoft video game adaptation, reports Twitch Film. Fassbender is also producing the film, which is scheduled for release in 2015.

Assassin’s Creed centres around protagonists who use technology to experience the memories of their ancestors. The actor has said that he was attracted to the franchise by “the idea of reliving memories”, and has not played the games.

Espinosa first came to global attention with his fantastic action thriller Snabba Cash.

The Assassin’s Creed film will be released on June 19, 2015.
