Showcase Channel in Canada are on a bit of a roll with some fantastic original programming (including the must-see ‘Continuum‘) and their latest series ‘Helix‘ looks to be another hit for them.

Blurring the lines between science fiction, horror and thriller, the highly anticipated series Helix debuts with a gripping, edge-of-your-seat two-episode premiere event. Led by Dr. Alan Farragut (Campbell), the CDC team find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. However, the lethal threat is just the tip of the iceberg, and as the virus evolves, the chilling truth begins to unravel. Helix also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky, Mark Ghanimé, Jordan Hayes, Meegwun Fairbrother, Catherine Lemieux and Neil Napier, and guest stars Jeri Ryan.

Helix is Executive Produced by Moore, Lynda Obst (Sleepless in Seattle, Contact), and Steven Maeda (Lost, CSI: Miami, The X-Files).
