Classic Action Scene: Face/Off (1997) Speedboat Chase

If ever there’s proof that John Woo is one of the best action directors in the business, it’s this scene; this speedboat chase is in my top 10 action scenes of all time.

It has amazing stunt work and the shot of the boat crashing through the other boat is jaw dropping.

In this climactic action scene Sean Archer (Nicolas Cage) is chasing terrorist Castor Troy (John Travolta) because he killed his son and stole his identity, but not before Archer stole Castor’s identity first… wait, what?

Yes, the plot is rather head-scratching, but who cares?

The action in this movie is incredible and I think this scene and the prison escape are the highlights… oh the hangar scene at the start is cool too.

You can buy Face/Off on Amazon DVD/Blu Ray below.
