Vin Diesel Talks About his Fight with Statham on Fast 7

Fast and Furious 7 started production again recently after a break following the tragic death of Paul Walker last year. It wasn’t long until Vin Diesel got injured on the set and received a minor concussion. He took to his Facebook page and provided details.

Knocked skulls with Jason Statham, literally…then got beaten with lead pipes. Slammed against a car and suffered a minor concussion.”

According to  BET.com Diesel was determined not to let the injury slow down production of the film, saying he owes it to late pal and co-star Paul Walker to push through. “I promised Pablo (Paul Walker) this would be the biggest film in history…haha…all in a day’s work. P.S. Proud of the whole Fast team.

On his Facebook today he stated: “We were day two into what will be the most epic fight scene… The minor concussion… how did it happen?

I was lying face down at one point in the sequence, and I had to elude the next lead pipe swing to the head… so I pushed off the ground to leap back just in time to avoid the swing by the Shaw character.

When I did, I hit the side of the car with such force that my head dented it, haha… the whole sound stage heard it. When the director yelled cut, I got up and checked playback… and then opted to do it again.
P.s. What an intense week, and despite our battle wounds, a scene was created that both Jason and I will be proud of for the rest of our lives…

Fast & Furious 7  will hit theatres on April 10, 2015.
