Kevin Costner and ‘The Iceman’ Director Team Up For ‘Criminal’

Kevin Costner isn’t done showing off his edgier side, as he is in negotiations to star in Millennium Entertainment and Nu Image Films’ “Criminal,” which “The Iceman” helmer Ariel Vromen is on board to direct.

Douglas Cook and David Weisberg are writing the script, which revolves around a ruthless killer who, rather than spend the rest of his life in jail, chooses to be used in a medical experiment in which the brain of a recently murdered field operative is implanted in his head.

In the last year, Costner has stayed busy mixing lighter material with darker, edgier projects. Costner followed his critically acclaimed performance in “Man of Steel” as Clark Kent’s father with two action-heavy roles in “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” and “Three Days to Kill”.

The story sounds cool and Costner has the acting chops, so let’s keep our fingers crossed on this one.
