The Blood Sweat N’ Bones Feature and Short Film Contests

The Action Elite is proud to announce our first Feature and Short film contest in conjunction with the Urban Action Showcase and Expo.

We are sent short films and features to review on a regular basis but now is your chance for your vision to get a wider audience.

There are several categories where you can submit your entries on the official Urban Action Showcase website but we have a few details below too.

 

 

 

 

Feature Film: Includes Feature Narrative & Blood Sweat n Bones No Budget Contests

Features must be a minimum of 60 minutes and maximum of 120 minutes.

Short Film: Includes Short Film Showdown & Blood Sweat n Bones No Budget Contests
Shorts must be a minimum of 4 minutes and maximum 30 minutes.

TV Pilot: Television Pilot Awards
TV Pilots must be a minimum of 30 minutes and maximum 60 minutes.

Webisode/Web Series: Web Series Awards
Webisodes must be a minimum of 4 minutes and maximum 15 minutes.
2 Minute Warning Fight & Action Scenes: 2 Minute Warning Awards
Fight and Action Scenes have a 3 minute maximum time limited but no minimum.Related Film Contests 

Sexy, Silent, and Deadly Angels of Action Film: Contest

This category is open to the best Action Films that feature female Principle or Supporting character actors in a Feature, Short, Web Series or 2 Minute Warning Action Scene.

Urban Action Special Effects: Contest
Submit any Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Supernatural Feature, Short, Web Series, or Action Scene that features the use of Special Effects through out the film to win this category.

Urban Action Stunt: Contest
This category is open to all Features, Shorts, Web/TV series and 2 Min Warning Action Scenes for the best stunts in a film.

YouTube Contests

YouTube Urban Action Fan Film: Contest
This category is for the Fans of the Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Supernatural films that we all love. Submit the link to your fan film for the chance to be screened at AMC Theaters Times Sqr. NYC as well as a chance to win the Fan Film Favorite Award at the 2014 Urban Action Showcase Awards. Please list the Director, Principle Characters, Action and Fight Choreographers along with your contact information along with the link to your YouTube Fan Film.

Submission Materials: By Mail

*Each Category entry must be accompanied by the following:

  1. 2 copies of the Completed Submission Form.
  2. Proper Submission Fee for the Category of choice.
  3. 2 DVD’s of the content being submitted. (DVD’s will Not be returned)
  4. 2 copies of the Filmmakers Bio and Photo.
  5. 2 copies of the Lead Actors Bio and Head shot.
  6. 2 copies of the Content’s synopsis.
  7. 2 copies of the Content’s Credits
  8. 2 copies of the Festival Release Form.
  9. The submitter’s name and entry title must be on the DVD.
  10. Enter as many categories as desired as long as it is accompanied by the proper forms and fees.
  11. Mail all entries to: Urban Action Showcase: 131 West 35th Street 8th Floor NY, NY 10001.
  12. All Applicants will be notified immediately or by September 1 for early and Oct 9 for late submissions.

  9. YouTube Contests: Free

Late Entry Fees: September 2 – October 7, 2014

  1. Feature Film: $30.00
  2. Short Film: 20.00
  3. TV Pilot: $30.00
  4. Webisode: $20.00
