‘Edge of Tomorrow’ Retitled ‘Live Die Repeat’ For Video Release

Tom Cruise‘s blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow has been re-branded as Live Die Repeat for its home entertainment release.

The time-loop thriller, about a soldier who relives the same day over and over, has been noticeably rebranded in time for its Blu-ray, DVD and digital debut this October.
“Live Die Repeat” was prominently used in the film’s marketing campaign, but has taken on larger significance now that Doug Liman’s sci-fi blockbuster has finished its theatrical run.

In addition to the Blu-ray cover, the iTunes entry for the film lists its title as Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow.

During its early stages of development Edge of Tomorrow was called All You Need Is Kill, the same name as the Hiroshi Sakurazaka-penned novel on which it was based.

Edge of Tomorrow earned more than $360 million at the worldwide box office, and was greeted positively by critics. However, the bulk of the movie’s earnings came from overseas, with its $99 million from US cinemas viewed as an under performance.
