‘Ex Machina’ Trailer

Today brings us a trailer from the forthcoming UK film Ex Machina. Just looking at the trailer it shares a lot of similarities to one of my favorite films of the year, The Machine. This marks the directorial debut of Alex Garland, whose novel The Beach was turned into a movie of the same name by Danny Boyle, and went on to write screenplays for two more Boyle films, 28 Days Later and Sunshine. He also wrote the screenplay for the action fan fave Dredd.

Plot: A young programmer is selected to participate in a breakthrough experiment in artificial intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a breathtaking female A.I.

Ex Machina hits UK theaters  in January and in North America (probably on VOD) in April 2015.

Written and Directed by: Alex Garland
Starring: Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac and Alicia Vikander
