See Predator & Action Jackson on the Big Screen!

Our friends over at Dammaged Goods have another action packed evening lined up on October 24th.

Celebrate an era when muscles, machine guns and one-liners ruled the world as The American Cinematheque and Dammaged Goods present Predator & Action Jackson on the big screen! Friday, 10.24 @ 7:30 PM, The Egyptian Theatre Los Angeles.

Predator Stunt Coordinator and Action Jackson director Craig R. Baxley will introduce the films while Apollo Creed, Dillon and Jericho Jackson himself, Carl Weathers, joins us for Q&A!  Trivia, prizes, custom tee shirt giveaway and more.

PREDATOR
1987, 20th Century Fox, 107 min, USA, Dir: John McTiernan

ALIEN meets RAMBO when an elite military squad heads into the jungle, only to be confronted by an unstoppable extraterrestrial killer. Director John McTiernan shows signs of the expert action technique he would later refine in DIE HARD, while Arnold Schwarzenegger provides rooting interest as the tough-as-nails hero. With special effects from the great Stan Winston.

ACTION JACKSON
1988, Warner Bros., 96 min, USA, Dir: Craig R. Baxley

As Detroit police sergeant Jericho “Action” Jackson, Carl Weathers delivers a knockout punch to crime that’s worthy of Apollo Creed. When labor leaders fall victim to mysterious assassins, Jackson follows the trail to a powerful businessman (a very menacing Craig T. Nelson), whose influence had previously gotten the detective demoted. Sharon Stone and singer Vanity co-star.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
