Terminator Genisys star Jai Courtney has revealed that the blockbuster will not carry an R rating like earlier films in the series.
The Australian actor, who plays Kyle Reese, said that the forthcoming movie will still contain plenty of intense violence to please fans of the series.
“I would love to see it be rated R, but I don’t think it will. I think in this day and age, it’s much more likely to be PG-13,” he told The Arnold Fans
. “There were no f-bombs. But there’ll be a healthy amount of movie violence.”The first three Terminator
films all carried an R rating in the US (18 or 15 in the UK), while 2009’s Terminator Salvation
was granted a PG-13 (12A) certificate.
Courtney added that he thinks Arnold Schwarzenegger, who reprises his role as the T-800, will likely be back for the Genisys sequels filming back-to-back in 2016.
