Arnold Wants to do Running Man 2

The Arnold Fans were recently at An Evening with Arnold Schwarzenegger where the Austrian Oak talked about a potential follow-up to his underrated, yet thoroughly entertaining actioner The Running Man.

Schwarzenegger: “People loved the movie. I loved the idea, It is like the Hunger Games, it’s that kind of idea. I think that now, if someone writes it (a Running Man sequel) really well, it can be an extraordinary movie. I hope that no one decides to do that movie without me. I would really love to pick it up and continue on where we left off and be the Running Man.”

For the life of me I can’t think of how a sequel could work; I mean Ben Richards beat the game, Killian ended up dying spectacularly and an oppressed people rose up and everyone lived happily ever after.

The only thing I could think of is if Killian’s son wants revenge so he creates his own version of The Running Man and captures Richards, forcing him to take part or his family is killed. Something along those lines would work… maybe.

If they can come up with a way to make a Running Man sequel viable then I am all in.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
