Jackie Chan to go ‘Civilian’

I must apologize that this news is a few days old but the past week has been kinda crazy.

Anyway, Variety is reporting that Jackie Chan is to star in an English-language thriller called “Civilian,” set to be produced by Basil Iwanyk’s Thunder Road label.

The action follows a salesman who finds himself in the middle of a terror attack at arms convention.

It’s apparently meant to be a Die Hard style movie which I am all for!

The picture is to be directed by Peter Segal (“Anger Management,” “Grudge Match”) and is expected to shoot from early 2015 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Chan is also set to star in US-Chinese action adventure “Skiptrace,” alongside Fan Bingbing and Seann William-Scott. He is also rumoured to be circling additions to the “Karate Kid” and ‘Rush Hour” franchises.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
