Spend Black Friday with Rambo

To all my American friends sitting eating leftover turkey today; I think it would taste better with a side order of John Rambo.

Yes, today on AMC is a Rambo marathon which will be showing the first three classic movies; not sure why Rambo 2008 isn’t on but at least you’ve got the three movies to enjoy.

The marathon starts with 1982’s First Blood, at 10 a.m. today, repeating the cycle at 4:30 p.m.

First Blood Plot: John J. Rambo is a former United States Special Forces soldier who fought in Vietnam and won the Congressional Medal of Honor, but his time in Vietnam still haunts him. As he came to Hope, Washington to visit a friend, he was guided out of town by the Sheriff William Teasel who insults Rambo, but what Teasel does not know that his insult angered Rambo to the point where Rambo became violent and was arrested, as he was at the county jail being cleaned, he escapes and goes on a rampage through the forest to try to escape from the sheriffs who want to kill him. Then, as Rambo’s commanding officer, Colonel Samuel Trautman tries to save both the Sheriff’s department and Rambo before the situation gets out of hand.

First Blood: Part II Plot: John Rambo is released from prison by the government for a top-secret covert mission to the last place on Earth he’d want to return – the jungles of Vietnam.

Rambo III Plot: Rambo’s Vietnam commanding officer Colonel Trautman is held hostage in Afghanistan, and it’s up to Rambo to rescue him.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
