Trailer to John Woo’s The Crossing

theccrossingimage_large

I only just found this but we have the trailer to John Woo’s new film entitled “The Crossing”; it’s not exactly “Hard Boiled” or “Face/Off” but it looks like there are some decent battle scenes and it all looks stunning too.

According to THR: Woo described the period film as “an anthem of love.” Set during the revolutionary period of 1949, The Crossing tells the story of three doomed couples from Mainland China who board Taiping, an ill-fated ship bound for Taiwan. The movie has a $40-million budget and has already been dubbed the “Chinese Titanic.” It stars Zhang Ziyi, Huang Xiaoming, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Masami Nagasawa, and Song Hye-kyo.

Sounds like a barrel of laughs then…

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
