The upcoming action thriller Relentless is gearing up for production in early 2015, with none other than Starship Troopers Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) making a welcome return to action in the film for director John Milton Branton.

After smugglers steal his boat and leave him for dead, a former US Army Ranger (Casper Van Dien) gets caught in the middle of a war between rival Russian and Thai Drug traffickers. The brutal murder of his friend and mentor and the kidnapping of his girlfriend leaves him no choice but to walk the road of vengeance.

With the Thai Police on his trail thinking he’s part of the Drug Trade, a crooked DEA agent playing both sides against each other, there’s only one man he can trust, himself. The battle lines have been drawn and the final high octane, high impact battle will rage across the mean streets of Thailand.

Relentless is being produced by Greenlight Films, Emerald Films & Riucci Films from a script by retired ATF agent and award winning journalist and author Chuck Hustmyre whose credits include Dave Bautita starrer House of the Rising Sun for Lionsgate’s Grindstone and End of a Gun & Blink: Black Ops which are both in active development.

The film’s Director is John Milton Branton whose credits as a director include Dark Power with Sean Patrick Flannery & Kristina Loken, Absolute Fear with Patrick Bergin and the currently shooting Modern Mysteries.

Caspar Van Dien who headlined the cult Starship Troopers franchise, Tarzan & the Lost City, Modern Vampires and the Mortal Kombat Legacy series stars as former US Army Ranger Charlie LaFarge.

While the Producers are also in talks with Hawaii 5’0 and Crying Freeman star Mark Dacascos to play a key role in the film, more cast members will be announced shortly.

The films extensive fight and stunt sequences will be handled by Thailand based choreographer & coordinator Brahim Achabakhe whose credits include Tekken 2, Ninja Shadow of a Tear, Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Pound of Flesh and most recently Jason Statham’s The Mechanic 2.

Joining the film fresh from Ultimate Justice and Kickboxer; City of Blood is Co-Producer Mike Leeder (Pound of Flesh, Man of Tai Chi) who is also working on the casting for the film with US casting director and co-producer, Pamela Staton, CSA.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
