Kill Count: Face/Off (1997)

Plot: To foil an extortion plot, an FBI agent undergoes a face-transplant surgery and assumes the identity and physical appearance of a ruthless terrorist, but the plan backfires when the same criminal impersonates the cop with the same method.

One of John Woo’s finest hours, Face/Off is also one of the most ridiculous action movies you’ll ever see. Woo provides double gun-play galore and plenty of Hard R violence with Travolta and Cage on top form.

One of the many things I love about this movie is how it explores just how evil is the bad guy and just how good is the hero? I mean, Castor is almost a better father than Archer as he pays more attention to Archer’s wife and daughter.

Anyway, nobody cares about my ramblings, let’s see how many Cage and Travolta take out, courtesy of All Outta Bubblegum..

Cage Kill Count: 16

Travolta Kill Count: 14

Really? Is that all? I’m pretty sure more were killed during the many shoot-outs, but I guess this is close enough. I think I need to go watch this now.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone.
