The Raid Cast Join Star Wars?

raid09

Well now you’ve got my attention; yes, that isn’t a typo but according to Twitch “a key trio of performers from Gareth Evans’ The Raid and The Raid 2 – leading man Iko Uwais, Mad Dog / Prakoso actor Yayan Ruhian and The Raid 2 finale fighter Cecep Arif Rahman, credited simply as The Assassin – will all appear in JJ Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens”.

There’s no further news as yet but having these great martial arts stars coming to a galaxy far, far away is incredibly exciting. They’ll probably be aliens or under heavy make-up but if we could get a villain as cool as Darth Maul (who doesn’t get killed too early again) then this could be worth talking about.

Once again this hasn’t been confirmed as yet but by God, I hope it’s true.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
