Blood & Bone 2 on the Way?

Blood and Bone was an underrated martial arts gem starring Michael Jai White from 2009; it had bone crunching fight scenes and a badass protagonist in Isaiah Bone (MJW). How many times can I say ‘bone” in one sentence?

The story of Blood and Bone was about an ex-con in Los Angeles who takes the underground fighting world by storm in his quest to fulfill a promise to a dead friend.

We’ve been wondering if we would ever see a follow up and when we spoke to Michael last year he said that everyone wants it to happen, it was just a case of financing and polishing off the script.

Recently Michael Jai White took to Twitter and responded to a fan question regarding a sequel and he said “Already written. Might have 2 Crowd-fund it.”

Now this is a crowdfunding campaign I could genuinely get behind and would definitely contribute some money to.

It is a shame though that smaller indie action films are struggling to get financing these days, especially when there are so many crap blockbusters out there.

I would check out Blood and Bone 2 in a heart beat; so watch this space if a crowdfunding campaign should come along.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
