Jackie Chan is Still King of the Box Office

The Chinese box office continues to grow with the rather excellent news that Jackie Chan’s new film “Dragon Blade,” which stars John Cusack and Academy Award winner Adrien Brody as Roman soldiers lost in China, made $56 million in four-days last weekend.

It’s great to see an action movie starring Chan still blowing up at the box office, proving that he’s still got what it takes to put bums on seats.

“Dragon Blade” had a budget of $65 million which it will make back in a matter of days.

The movie hasn’t even been released in North America yet but I can sadly predict that it will probably end up going straight to DVD, which is a damn shame.

Either way, great for Jackie Chan and the Chinese for keeping action alive!
