Classic Trailer: Bloodsport (1988)

The movie that made Jean-Claude Van Damme an action superstar remains one of his best flicks; although Frank Dux may not be the person we all thought in real life, it doesn’t make this movie any less awesome.

JCVD is at his absolute physical peak and his moves in Bloodsport are truly spectacular; Bolo Yeung is awesome as the evil fighter Chong Li with the best facial expressions in martial arts history.

SYNOPSIS: U.S. soldier Frank Dux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) has come to Hong Kong to be accepted into the Kumite, a highly secret and extremely violent martial-arts competition.

While trying to gain access into the underground world of clandestine fighters, he also has to avoid military officers who consider him to be AWOL. After enduring a difficult training and beginning a romance with journalist Janice Kent (Leah Ayres), Frank is given the opportunity to fight. But can he survive?

There has been talk of a remake for years without Van Damme but I’m afraid that is unacceptable and he needs to be in i even as a mentor character kinda like what he’s ding in the Kickboxer reboot.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
