The Mechanic: Resurrection Gets a New Release Date

Deadline is reporting that Summit’s Mechanic: Resurrection which had been set for release on April 15 (now taken by Criminal), has been pushed to the very end of the summer for a new August 26, 2016 release.

But that’s like a whole year away! *Sighs theatrically*

I’m looking forward to this one though as it has a quality cast that includes Jason Statham, Tommy Lee Jones and Jessica Alba.

It’s also directed by Dennis Gansel who previously worked on We Are The Night.

The story for The Mechanic: Resurrection is as follows: Arthur Bishop thought he had put his murderous past behind him when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Now he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents.

It sounds quite interesting and I hope Tommy Lee Jones is on villain duties; he was awesome in Under Siege.
