Bill Zabka Speaks Out Against Bullying

Billy Zabka, who played Johnny Lawrence in 1984’s The Karate Kid, took a very non-villainous stand against bullying over the weekend at a Maryland dojo.

Zabka spoke to a crowd of 250 people during the second annual Anti-Bullying Day at Kickmasters Karate in Clarysville, according to the Cumberland Times-NewsHe was the keynote speaker at the event, which also included booths and stations dedicated to bullying awareness inside the facility. His speech was also simulcast to hundreds more in attendance on the grounds outside.

“Bullying is never cool … not when you can be the hero in your own story,” he told the crowd.
