478: The Perfect Next Step for Arnie?

In 478, Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a man whose wife and child die in a plane crash. The tragedy was caused by an air traffic controller’s screw-up. The air traffic controller is vilified for his mistake and placed into protective custody. Schwarzenegger cannot let it go, and is determined to seek vengeance.

In case you didn’t know the movie is set to be directed by Elliott Lester (Blitz) and produced by Darren Aronofsky.

I have to say that revenge movies are my favourite genre and seeing Arnie looking for justice is rather cool sounding.

478 is apparently more of a character piece than an all-out actioner though and I think the angle that it’s an air traffic controller who is responsible is a nice twist. This isn’t some gang of street hoods but something that could just be human error and there are some interesting places they could go in terms of character and story. Will Arnold’s character actually be the true villain of the piece?

I’m worried that they say it will be more like Maggie, which let’s face it, was super boring. It had great performances but it was dull and forgettable.

On the plus side 478 sounds like it’s going to be rated R too which is a tick in its favour so I’m intrigued to see what they come up with.

On a side note though… where is Legend of Conan?

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
