RIP Guy Hamilton (1922-2016)

We’re sad to announce the passing of director Guy Hamilton who helmed four James Bond pictures: Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun.

Hamilton also directed Force 10 from Navarone and Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins to name but a few from his impressive resume.

According to The Guardian “He was also close to directing two superhero films but turned down Batman and was replaced on Superman.”

Bond actor Roger Moore paid tribute on Twitter saying “Incredibly, incredibly saddened to hear the wonderful director Guy Hamilton has gone to the great cutting room in the sky. 2016 is horrid.”

Guy Hamilton was 93 years old.

RIP sir.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
