Human-trafficking Thriller “California Dreaming” Begins Production

From the newly formed Jaguar Motion Pictures, “California Dreaming”, a feature length action-filled crime thriller, has officially begun lensing.

Written by Robert Thompson and directed by Brandon Slagle (House of Manson), “California Dreaming” follows the story of two College Students who – while on vacation in Baja, are kidnapped by a vicious Mexican cartel with the intention to sell them to sex traffickers in Europe.

However the tables are soon turned as one of the students – the daughter of globe-trotting survivalists – initiates their escape. Newcomer Bronwyn Carrie-Wilson stars alongside scream queen Devanny Pinn (The Black Dahlia Haunting) with Jacqui Holland (Limelight), Eric Etebari (2 Fast 2 Furious/ The Lincoln Lawyer) Jose Rosete (Inferno By Dante), Victor Boneva (The Bridge/ Constantine), Sarah French, Michelle Romano, Kevin Caliber (Supergirl) and Telenovela starlet Adriana Fonseca (Corazon Valiente) are among those cast thus far with fight choreography by Black Belt Magazine contributor Jason McNeil.

Additional casting will be announced throughout production. Produced by Alexis Iacono, Donna Kopp and John Kopp, “California Dreaming” marks Slagle’s first full foray into the action genre, after directing such horror genre fare as “The Black Dahlia Haunting” and “Dead Sea”.  “California Dreaming” has an anticipated release date in 2017.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
