John Sayles to Direct Django Lives!

Django starring Franco Nero is one of my favourite movies of all time; the story is unpredictable and Django is unbelievably cool but the movie isn’t short of a good bodycount either.

Well we’ve got good news because Django is back! This is not related to the Tarantino movie Django Unchained but a sequel to the original movie.

According to Showbiz 411 this film will be the third to star Franco Nero as the title character. It’s set 50 years after the first movie. Django is now a horse handler and an extra on the set of D.W. Griffith’s “Birth of a Nation.

Louis Black, Carolyn Pfeiffer, David Hollander and Nancy P. Sanders are the producers.

The Western genre has had a bit of a resurgence recently with Bone Tomahawk, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight and more and it looks like it’s going to continue which is just fine by me.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
