How About a Deathstroke Spin-off?

The first two seasons of Arrow were hugely entertaining and Manu Bennett’s portrayal of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke stole the entire show. As awesome as he was though, without him I’ve found the show has struggled to remain interesting.

Even Bennett wasn’t pleased with how the show went stating last year “I think Deathstroke had a lot of possibilities with Arrow but, I think they took it in the wrong direction. It took the Justice League to defeat him; it took an army to take him on. In Arrow, it took a while for Oliver to prove his point, but [season three] was just a beating of Slade, adding insult to injury.”

I think we can all agree that Arrow has become more of a soap opera focusing on the whole “Ollicity” crap but what I’d be more interested in is a show dedicated to the best character: Deathstroke: The Terminator.

He’s far too interesting to not be explored more as he is one of the best and deadliest assassins in the world. Like Bennett said above, this man has fought armies so the potential for the character is quite huge. We’ve already had his origin from Arrow (which is different from the comics) but I would love to see him as a mercenary out for himself who is neither good or bad but occasionally helps out like he does in the comics.

Alas, this doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen due to the DC Cinematic Universe wanting to use certain characters so pretty much anyone interesting like the Suicide Squad or Deathstroke will likely not show up on TV again or at least not for a long time. Recently Arrow’s Willa Holland discussed the decision saying “When DC found out they were going to be doing their own movie we had to axe all of the characters before we even got to show them…Once they said no, you can’t really fight against them for it, because they are the people that gave us a job in the first place. You just have to sit there on your hands, like okay, I get it!

It sounds to me like Arrow has nothing exciting left to do, so in the words of Krusty the Clown: “Cancel it!”

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.

“Clean-up on Aisle Four”: Stone Cold (1991)

I miss movies like this and I still think it’s a damn shame that Brian Bosworth didn’t become a big action star as he certainly had the goods. This movie alone cemented him under legendary status for me and the supe...
