Parkour Chase from Casino Royale (2006)

Casino Royale turns 10 years old in a few months and watching this clip reminds me how blown away I was by this scene when it first came out; this was a James Bond we had never seen before with Daniel Craig running, jumping, shooting and fighting his way through one of the best reboots in recent memory.

It remains my personal favourite of the Craig Bond movies and the parkour sequence is one of the best action scenes of the series.

The Bomb maker Bond chases on foot is played by Sébastien Foucan, who was one of the founders of Parkour. His smooth movement was juxtaposed against Bond’s clumsiness during the chase and this makes it all the more authentic.

What is most impressive is the now famous crane jump was done practically with no CGI and you can tell.
