Are We Getting Escape Plan 2?

THR are reporting that Lionsgate and Beijing-based film company Leomus Pictures are exploring the possibility of producing Escape Plan 2 as a China co-production.

There is no word as yet if Stallone or Arnold would return but I find it doubtful considering both character’s stories were completed by the end of the first movie.

The article also discusses how the Now You See Me series is also getting a spin-off.

The movie is being developed as an official U.S.-China co-production. It will be shot in China and feature a mostly Chinese cast.

“We’re working closely with Lionsgate on the story,” Leomus Pictures CEO Jie Qiu tells THR. “And a Hollywood writer will be involved to make sure the spin-off is aligned with the Now You See Me franchise and has the same level of quality.”

Personally, I couldn’t care less about the Now You See Me spin-off but I really enjoyed Escape Plan and would be intrigued to see what direction they would take it in and who would be cast.

Angel Has Fallen Found a Director?

I love the “Has Fallen” franchise; it’s old-school action and the only problem I’ve had with both movies so far was the dodgy CGI but hopefully with this third entry it will be kept to a minimum. Deadlin...
