Florida Supercon ‏ 2016

Greetings valued readers of The Action Elite. Danny Templegod here reporting from the largest comic convention south of Orlando, Florida Supercon! The Supercon took place July 1st thru the 4th at the Miami Beach Convention Center and some larger events took place at the 2,000 seat famed Fillmore theater on South Beach. Over 50,000 people, many celebrities and cosplay people were in attendance some of the bigger guests included William Shatner, Tara Strong, and some of the cast of Daredevil.

The real highlight though is the costume contest, which took place Saturday night July 2nd at The Fillmore. The massive contest is perhaps one of the largest at any convention and has 5,000 dollars in prizes and a $1,500 grand prize with a lifetime V.I.P. Pass to all Supercon events!

Rather than take a bunch of photos during the day, it was optimal to save hard drive space for the contest as Cos-players could use the weapon props they had to check earlier. The cos-players brought their best. Some of the ladies really shined in their sexy outfits displaying characters from Warcraft to Wonder Woman.

Another fantastic event, this time in Ft Lauderdale in December called: Paradise City Comicon The event takes place about 30 miles north of Supercon at the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center December 9th thru 11th 2016, and is run by the same people who put on Supercon.

For all of the readers of The Action Elite who have short films, demos, music videos, or feature films and want to have the chance to have their project screened at AMC Aventura Theater please go to Filmfreeway and enter it in the Widescreen Film and Music Video festival, final deadline is not until November 30th. Just announced: The four day event takes place in 2017, February 16th thru the 19th and will culminate in an awards show on a private 125ft yacht!
