Headshot Headed to TIFF

I’ve never been happier that I live in Toronto as this year’s TIFF is looking rather awesome on the action front. Headshot starring Iko Uwais is going to be making its world premiere at the festival.

Plot: The indomitable Iko Uwais (The Raid) stars in this fast and furious actioner as an amnesiac whose mysterious past as a killing machine comes to the fore when he takes on the henchmen of a vengeful drug lord.

Birth of the Dragon starring Philip Ng is also set to make its world premiere at TIFF as well so hopefully I will be able to get tickets and do an early review.

Plot: Set against the backdrop of San Francisco’s Chinatown, this cross-cultural film chronicles Bruce Lee’s emergence as a martial-arts superstar after his legendary secret showdown with fellow martial artist Wong Jack Man.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it's a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone. We also want to help promote new talent whether you're making blockbusters, low-budget Indie movies or fan films; if it's action, it's awesome.
